Public Colleges and Universities
Idaho has six public colleges and universities, all of which are part of the Idaho State Board of Education. These schools offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as a variety of extracurricular activities and student services.
- Idaho State University is the state’s largest university, with over 17,000 students. Located in Pocatello, ISU offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields.
- University of Idaho is located in Moscow, and has over 12,000 students. UI offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including agriculture, business, engineering, and law.
- Lewis-Clark State College is located in Lewiston, and has over 7,000 students. LCSC offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and nursing.
- Northwest Nazarene University is located in Nampa, and has over 2,000 students. NWNC offers over 80 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and nursing.
- Utah Valley University has a campus in Idaho Falls, and has over 1,000 students. UVU offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and nursing.
- College of Idaho is located in Caldwell, and has over 1,000 students. CII offers over 50 undergraduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and nursing.
Private Colleges and Universities
Idaho also has a number of private colleges and universities, each with its own unique offerings. These schools offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as a variety of extracurricular activities and student services.
- Boise State University is a private university located in Boise, and has over 20,000 students. BSU offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and engineering.
- Whitworth University is a private university located in Spokane, Washington, and has over 3,000 students. Whitworth offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and nursing.
- Gonzaga University is a private university located in Spokane, Washington, and has over 5,000 students. Gonzaga offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including business, education, and law.
