Directions to Meridian, Idaho

Meridian, Idaho is the largest city in Ada County and the third largest city in the state. It is located just west of Boise and is a great place to visit for a day or a weekend. Here are some directions to get there:

By Car

The easiest way to get to Meridian is by car. From Boise, take Interstate 84 west to the Meridian exit. This will take you to the intersection of Chinden Boulevard and Eagle Road. Turn right on Eagle Road and you will be in downtown Meridian.

By Bus

The Valley Regional Transit (VRT) provides bus service to Meridian from downtown Boise. Take bus route 24 to the intersection of Chinden Boulevard and Eagle Road. From there, you can take a short walk to downtown Meridian.

By Plane

The closest airport to Meridian is the Boise Airport, located just east of downtown Boise. From the airport, you can take a taxi or rental car to Meridian.

By Train

Amtrak’s Pioneer line runs from Seattle to Salt Lake City, with a stop in Nampa, Idaho, which is located just north of Meridian. From Nampa, you can take a taxi or rental car to Meridian.

By Bike

For those who prefer to travel by bike, the Boise Valley Greenbelt offers a scenic route from Boise to Meridian. The route follows the Boise River and is about 20 miles in length.
